  • Information you provide when you create or manage an account, contact support, or otherwise communicate with us, including your email address, login details, support correspondence, and any phone number you provide for verification, recovery, or contact.
  • Information tied to your HashPhone service, including assigned-number records, activation and provisioning details, subscription or entitlement linkage, country or region, and related account or service history.
  • Safety, abuse, and enforcement records, including reports, appeals, internal review notes, moderation outcomes, account or number restrictions, and related case history.

Information collected automatically or received from providers

  • Messaging and calling metadata, such as source and destination numbers, timestamps, delivery or routing status, call duration, destination counts, and message-volume patterns.
  • Content you submit for transmission may be processed as needed to route a communication, apply automated or internal abuse checks before send, investigate misuse, respond to legal process, or comply with law.
  • Device, app, and system information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, timezone, push token, crash data, and diagnostic or integrity signals.
  • Network and general location signals, such as IP address and country- or region-level indicators derived from network, billing, or device information.
  • Subscription and purchase information received from billing or platform providers, such as transaction or receipt status, renewal state, plan type, entitlement status, and ownership-linkage information.
  • Number provisioning, routing, delivery, and carrier-related status information we receive from telecom, numbering, and other service providers that support HashPhone.
02

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide HashPhone, including account setup, number assignment, authentication, customer support, and account administration.
  • Provision and maintain telecom functionality, routing, deliverability, diagnostics, and overall service reliability.
  • Verify subscription status, maintain entitlement and ownership links, and administer paid features.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, scams, impersonation, account compromise, policy evasion, and other misuse.
  • Apply and improve abuse-prevention controls, moderate or review communications where necessary, and investigate complaints, appeals, or safety issues.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service, protect users, service providers, and our systems, and preserve the integrity of HashPhone.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, telecom, and law-enforcement obligations.
03

Abuse Prevention, Safety, and Service Integrity

To help keep HashPhone usable for legitimate personal communication and to protect the service, we use automated systems and internal review processes where appropriate to assess risk, enforce our policies, and respond to abuse. These measures may include:

  • High-risk country, IP, and device-signal checks.
  • Subscription, entitlement, and ownership-linkage checks.
  • A one-active-number-per-user rule.
  • Destination-count and message-volume monitoring.
  • Automated checks and internal review before a message is sent, where needed.

Depending on the circumstances, these measures may result in additional review, purchase or activation blocks, sending restrictions, number suspension, or account termination.

04

How We Disclose Information

  • Telecom, numbering, routing, hosting, customer support, security, and other service providers that help us operate HashPhone and need access to information to perform services on our behalf.
  • Subscription, billing, payment, and platform providers that process purchases, validate entitlements, or administer renewals.
  • Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other third parties when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users, service providers, or the integrity of the service.

No Sale of Personal Information

CurrentBlack LLC does not sell your personal information.

05

Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate HashPhone, administer subscriptions and assigned numbers, respond to support matters, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal, telecom, billing, tax, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected. Some information may be retained after cancellation, suspension, or loss of a number where necessary for these purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information in our possession. No service can guarantee absolute security, and you should also take steps to protect your account credentials and devices.
