About

Describing HashPhone

Use either description as written or adapt it. Please call the app HashPhone; the App Store lists it as #Phone – Second Number.

One line

HashPhone gives you a private second US or Canadian phone number for calls and texts on iPhone and Android.

Paragraph

HashPhone (listed as "#Phone – Second Number" on the App Store) is a second phone number app for iPhone, iPad, and Android from CurrentBlack LLC. It adds a separate US or Canadian number for calls and texts to the phone you already carry, so you can keep your personal number private when dating, selling online, signing up for services, or talking to people you have just met. The app works over Wi-Fi or mobile data and does not change your SIM or carrier plan.

Built for personal use

HashPhone is a personal second line for one-to-one calls and texts. It is not a business phone system with teams, call routing, or shared inboxes.

Verification codes vary by service

Many verification texts arrive normally, but each service decides whether it accepts virtual numbers. WhatsApp, for example, usually rejects them; it sometimes works with HashPhone, but that is not guaranteed.
